Meet Reverend Garang Chan, our dedicated National Director in South Sudan. Garangโs heart for his people drives his ministry in the Aweil region, where he works tirelessly to bring both practical and spiritual support to communities affected by conflict and natural disasters. Garang and his wife split their time between Nairobi Kenya and South Sudan to oversee their church network and ensure the well-being of those they serve. His vision is to see a country transformed for Christ, offering hope and healing after years of suffering.
Garangโs ministry extends throughout the Aweil region, bringing the message of hope and resilience to the Dinka people. As Bishop of the area churches, he works to rebuild a nation, one life at a time, through both the Gospel and practical assistance. Through Kids for the Kingdom, Garang focuses on:
Disaster Relief
Every year, South Sudan faces devastating floods that destroy homes and crops, leaving many without shelter or food. Garang and his team are there to offer relief to those affected, providing essential aid and sharing Godโs love during difficult times.
Feeding Programs/Bible Clubs
Several feeding centers across South Sudan provide nourishing meals to the local community while offering Bible teachings. These centers not only address immediate needs but also provide jobs, helping to stabilize families in the region.
